Recomended settings
Use higher temps for larger prints
Start with slow speeds and increase speeds as quality allows
Increase nozzle temp 10℃, Reduce print speed to 30 mm/s, no fan for first layer. If needed, use a PVA based liquid adhesive (Magigoo or similar)
Layer times over 100 seconds generally do not need fan cooling
Formula for top z gap setting, increase as needed for easy support removal
Dry filament prior to printing
For best results print filament from a dryer or dry box, especially on long prints
Keep filament in a humidity-controlled containment. PEBA is hygroscopic
Enclosures are recommended, especially for large prints
PEBA-SB is not recommended for use in AMS or MMS systems
With Bowden tube extruders, limit retraction and reduce print speeds
Limit nozzle temps to 240℃ or below to prevent damage to PTFE lined
Sputtering, hissing, or puffing during printing. Poor surface finish or visible steam coming from the extruder. Use humidity-controlled storage to prevent this.
Poor layer adhesion is a good indicator of excessive fan cooling
1.8 to 2 times the layer height is a good starting point
Retraction distance of up to 1mm is common
We would be happy to help resolve any issues
